This chapter describes how to complete node worksheets before you start
configuration. You will need to collect some information ahead of time to
complete these tasks.
The main purpose of the node worksheets is to determine the information you
will need to configure for each node during NMMGR's guided configuration. This
information depends on the type of network you have. For a description of the
fields in these worksheets, see Chapter 6 "Configuring a
LAN Node" for information on LAN, Token Ring, and FDDI, and
Chapter 7 "Configuring a Point-to-Point Node" for
information on Point-to-Point and Chapter 8 "Configuring a
X.25 Node" for information on X.25.
It is recommended that you make copies of these worksheets and fill in the
parameter information, then use these worksheets to guide you through
configuration in NMMGR.
Node worksheets list only the fields you can configure during guided
configuration, which allows you to configure your nodes as quickly as possible.
For information on configuration parameters that are available through
non-guided configuration, see the NS 3000/iX NMMGR Screens Reference
Manual.
