Listed below are the codes that are generated by the X.25 link Qualified
Logical Link Control (QLLC) module when a QLLC internal error occurs. They are
listed in numerical order according to the ProcNum displayed as
part of these SNA Transport logging messages:
Link connect failure on node NodeName
subsystem = SubsysID, procedure = ProcNum, error num = ErrorNum
Link failure, recovery in progress on node NodeName
subsystem = SubsysID, procedure = ProcNum, error num = ErrorNum
Link failure, shutting down the node NodeName
subsystem = SubsysID, procedure = ProcNum, error num = ErrorNum
The logging messages are described in "SNA Transport Logging Messages" earlier
in this appendix. The X.25 link-related ErrorNum values are
described in "X.25 Link Failure Error Codes" earlier in this appendix.
MESSAGE: NETIPC ERROR DETECTED
Level: -1
CAUSE: The QLLC module was informed of a socket error
(SOCKERR) by NETIPC.
ACTION: Note the socket error number and see the NS
3000/XL Error Messages Reference Manual for socket error
information.
MESSAGE: AFT ERROR
Level: -2
CAUSE: The QLLC module encountered an error while trying
to obtain the available file table (AFT).
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: INSTALLATION ERROR
Level: -3
CAUSE: The SNA/X.25 Link IOWAIT completor is not
installed on the system.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: QLLC PORT CREATION ERROR
Level: -4
CAUSE: The QLLC module encountered an error while trying
to create its IOWAIT port.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: PORT SUBQUEUE ERROR
Level: -5
CAUSE: The QLLC module encountered an error while trying
to enable its IOWAIT port subqueues.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: (reserved for internal use only)
Level: -6 through -16
CAUSE: An internal error has occurred.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: CALL REJECTED DUE TO SECURITY VIOLATION
Level: -17
CAUSE: An incoming SVC call was rejected by SNA/X.25
because the caller was unauthorized. That is, the caller's address
was not included in the call packet, or it was not the remote address
the SNA node is configured for.
ACTION: Verify that the Remote's X.25Network Address field of the "SNA Node Configuration: X.25 Link
Data" screen contains the correct X.25 address for the host node. Also
verify that the DIALNO operand of the PATH macro in the
host's switched major node definition contains the IBM's X.25 address
and the HP e3000's X.25 address.
MESSAGE: (reserved for internal use only)
Level: -18
CAUSE: An internal error has occurred.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: SECURITY VIOLATION
Level: -19
CAUSE: A non-system process tried to launch the QLLC module.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: RECEIVED INVALID QLLU
Level: -20
CAUSE: An unrecognizable QLLC control frame (QLLU) was
received from the remote system.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: INFO FIELD NOT ALLOWED
Level: -21
CAUSE: A QLLU that information fields are not allowed
for was received with an information field.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: INFO TOO LONG
Level: -22
CAUSE: A QLLU containing an information field that is
too long was received.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: INTERNAL ERROR
Level: -23 through -26
CAUSE: An internal error has occurred.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: (reserved for internal use only)
Level: -27 through -49
CAUSE: An internal error has occurred.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
MESSAGE: INTERNAL ERROR
Level: -50 through -100
CAUSE: An internal error has occurred.
ACTION: Call your Hewlett-Packard support contact.
