The DROP VIEW statement deletes the definition of the specified view
from the system catalog, all authorization granted on the view,
and any view that references the dropped view.

This statement does
not affect the base tables on which the views were defined.
The DROP VIEW statement can invalidate stored sections. Refer to the 
ALLBASE/SQL Database Administration Guide for
additional information on stored section validation.
You cannot use this statement on system views.
If the view was defined with a WITH CHECK OPTION
constraint, the view check constraint is also deleted.

You can use the DROP VIEW statement if you have OWNER authority for the view or
if you have DBA authority.
