Chapter 11 Resource Manager Commands
You can use the Resource Manager Utility (RESMGR) by choosing function
labels or by entering commands. You must enter commands if the terminal
you use to run RESMGR doesn't support function labels, or if you need to
use a command parameter that is not available with function labels.
This chapter lists the RESMGR commands in alphabetical order and explains
their syntax. A chart on the next page groups the commands by task or
function. It can help you in determining which commands to use for
various tasks, their abbreviations, and where you can use each command.
This chapter assumes that you already understand RESMGR's concepts and
functions, which have been explained in previous chapters. The commands
you can use are limited by the same security restrictions as the function
labels. The restrictions are based on your logon group and your level of
MPE capabilities.
The following commands are explained in this chapter:
* BACKUP * MODIFYSHARE
* CONNECTS * OPENFILES
* CREATE * RECOVER
* CURRENT * REDO
* DEFAULT * RELEASETABLES
* DELETE * REMOVESHARE
* DELETECONFIG * SHARE
* DELETESHARE * SHAREDDISCS
* EXIT * SHAREDEVICE
* GONOGO * SHAREDFILES
* HELP * SHAREDISC
* LOCKEDFILES * STATUS
* LOGON * VERSION

In addition to its utility-specific commands, RESMGR lets you enter most
MPE commands without leaving the program. If you enter a command that is
not recognized as a RESMGR command, it is passed to MPE.
