Information Access Server: Error Messages

Messages 4000 - 4999

NOTE Causes and actions are listed only when more information is necessary. If the error message contains an MPE error number, respond to the MPE error and try again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4002 Information Access Server already available to users Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility is running with parm = 1. System remains available to users. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4003 Information Access Server already unavailable to users Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility is running with parm = 2. System remains unavailable to users. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4004 Information Access Server now available to users Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility is running with parm = 1. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4005 Information Access Server now unavailable to users Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility is running with parm = 2. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4010 WARNING-Couldn't get language number. NLGETLANG error number Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility could not get a language number. These warning messages can appear when the Administrator Utility tries to open the message catalog and the forms file. The utility first tries to use the user-defined language. If none exists, it then tries to use the system default language. If none exists, it uses the NATIVE-3000 language. See the Native Language Support Reference Manual. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4011 WARNING-File LANGDEF.PUB.SYS not found Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility could not find the specified language in the language definition file. Either the JCW NLUSERLANG has been incorrectly set, or the desired language is not configured. These warning messages can appear when the Administrator Utility tries to open the message catalog and the forms file. The utility first tries to use the user-defined language. If none exists, it then tries to use the system default language. If none exists, it uses the NATIVE-3000 language. Either check the JCW and set as necessary, or run LANGINST.PUB.SYS to configure the desired language. See the Native Language Support Reference Manual. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4012 WARNING-Language not configured Generated by: Administrator Utility This error occurs when an attempt is made to open the message catalog or the forms file. The language specified was not configured in the LANGDEF file. Either the JCW NLUSERLANG has been incorrectly set, or the desired language is not configured. Either check the JCW and set as necessary, or run LANGINST.PUB.SYS to configure the desired language. See the Native Language Support Reference Manual. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4013 WARNING-Couldn't create file name. NLAPPEND error number Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility could not create the file name for the message catalog or forms file. This is probably an internal error. See the Native Language Support Reference Manual. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4014 WARNING-Couldn't open message catalog. CATOPEN error number Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility could not open the message catalog because an FOPEN error occurred. The message catalog may be missing or corrupt, it may be inaccessible due to incorrect security, or an incorrect parameter may have been passed in trying to open it. The message catalog is HDPMCnnn.PPC.SYS (where the last three characters identify the language). If the file is missing, install it and try again. If you suspect that it is corrupt, replace the file with a known good file. If these actions don't work, check the security on the file and change it if necessary. See the Native Language Support Reference Manual. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4015 WARNING-Couldn't open forms file. VOPENFORMF error number Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility could not open the forms file. See the V/3000 Reference Manual for information about the VOPENFORMF error. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4019 Fatal error occurred in procedure name Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility encountered a fatal error and terminated the operation. This message is followed by the text of the error message from the named procedure. Write down the error message information and note the steps you were performing when the error occurred. Respond to the error message from the named procedure. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4029 INTERNAL ERROR-Unexpected error when opening DHDPVERS, FSERR name Generated by: Administrator Utility The Administrator Utility is running with parm = 5. An error occurred when opening the file containing the list of modules in Information Access Server. Respond to the FSERR number specified. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4031 ERROR-An incorrect password has been entered Generated by: Administrator Utility The password on the Adminstrator Utility Entry screen is not correct for the user specified. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4032 ERROR-User not allowed to access Administrator Utility Generated by: Administrator Utility The user specified on the Administrator Utility Entry screen is not the primary DBA (ADMIN) nor a secondary DBA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4033 ERROR-User is not defined Generated by: Administrator Utility The user specified on the Administrator Utility Entry screen is not defined in the data dictionary. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4036 ERROR-Screen name entered is undefined Generated by: Administrator Utility You may have entered an incorrect screen name in the Go to screen field. If the screen name entered was correct, the CFG-TXN dataset of the data dictionary's HDPENV database may be corrupt. If the dataset is corrupt, either this error message appears (if the screen name is not found in the dataset), or error message 4043 appears (if the screen number is incorrect). First, retype the screen name and try again. For a list of valid screen names, type ? in any Go to screen field (to call up the List Screen Names screens) or see the Screen Map in Chapter 2 of the Information Access Server: Database Administration manual. If the dataset is corrupt, be sure to restore the entire data dictionary together with all files in PPCSAVE.HPOFFICE. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4040 ERROR-The function selected is available only to DBA ADMIN Generated by: Administrator Utility A secondary DBA tried to invoke a function that is available only to the primary DBA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4042 INTERNAL ERROR-Invalid transaction number number Generated by: Administrator Utility During initialization, the CFG-TXN dataset in the data dictionary's HDPENV database, is read, and a list is kept in memory of all screen names and their corresponding screen number read from the dataset. When trying to go to the screen specified by the user, the screen number is found to be within the range of possible screen numbers, but is not defined. Either the dataset is corrupt, or the list was corrupted in memory. The difference between this error and AC4043 is whether the screen number is inside or outside of the range of possible screen numbers. If the dataset is corrupt, be sure to restore the entire data dictionary together with all files in PPCSAVE.HPOFFICE. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4043 INTERNAL ERROR-Invalid screen number number Generated by: Administrator Utility During initialization, the CFG-TXN dataset in the data dictionary's HDPENV database is read, and a list is kept in memory of all screen names and their corresponding screen number read from the dataset. When trying to go to the screen specified by the user, the screen number was found to be outside of the range of possible screen numbers. Either the dataset is corrupt, or the list was corrupted in memory. The difference between this error and AC4042 is whether the screen number is inside or outside of the range of possible screen numbers. If the dataset is corrupt, be sure to restore the entire data dictionary together with all files in PPCSAVE.HPOFFICE. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4050 INTERNAL ERROR-No users are defined The primary DBA displayed the List Users screen and no users were listed. Because certain users (such as ADMIN) are always present in the data dictionary, the data dictionary must be corrupt. Call your HP representative. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4051 ERROR-User name can't be blank Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4052 ERROR-Invalid user name Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4053 ERROR-Invalid user password Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4054 ERROR-Maximum tables value must be between 0 and 32767 Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4055 ERROR-Max sectors must be between 0 and 2,147,483,647 Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4056 ERROR-User name already exists Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4057 ERROR-Unable to add user. Dataset USER in database HDPENV full Generated by: Administrator Utility The dataset, as it is presently defined, is full. You can delete other users from the dataset, then add the new user; or you can increase the size of the dataset. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4058 ERROR-Access group name is controlled by another DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4059 User name active. Can't be deleted Generated by: Administrator Utility You tried to delete a user who is currently using Access Server. If the user does not actually have a current connection to Access Server, their connection must have abnormally terminated since Access Server was last enabled for users. Hence, Access Server did not have the opportunity to clear the entry in the data dictionary to indicate they are no longer active. If the user is currently using Access Server, delete the user after he or she has finished. Or, if necessary, you can disable Access Server (using the UDC command DISABLEAC) and then delete the user. If the user's connection was abnormally terminated, clear the entry, disable Access Server (with parm = 2) and then re-enable it (with parm = 1). You can then proceed to delete the user definition. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4060 ERROR-name is not a DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility The DBA tried to change the controlling DBA for an IMAGE database or MPE file definition, but the DBA user named is not a primary or secondary DBA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4061 ERROR-Invalid priority queue. Valid queues are CS, DS, ES Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4063 ERROR-Reserved user name can't be changed Generated by: Administrator Utility Certain user names are predefined in Information Access during installation and cannot be modified. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4064 ERROR-Reserved user name can't be deleted Generated by: Administrator Utility Certain user names are predefined in Information Access Server during installation and cannot be deleted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4065 ERROR-User name is controlled by another DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4066 ERROR-Database name is already controlled by DBA name Generated by: Administrator Utility The primary DBA (ADMIN) is trying to change the control of the specified IMAGE database to the specified secondary DBA. The secondary DBA already controls that database, so no change actually takes place. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4068 ERROR-File name is already controlled by DBA name Generated by: Administrator Utility The primary DBA (ADMIN) is trying to change the control of the specified file to the specified secondary DBA. The secondary DBA already controls that file, so no change actually takes place. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4069 ERROR-Not allowed to delete this user's DBA capability Generated by: Administrator Utility You tried to remove ADMIN's DBA capability on the Change User screen. The user ADMIN is predefined during installation to be the primary DBA. This cannot be changed. Cancel the changes or put any non-blank character in the DBA Capability field. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4071 ERROR-Maximum active users must be between 0 and number Generated by: Administrator Utility Enter a number within the allowed range, or leave the field blank to indicate no limit. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4072 No active users because Information Access Server not available to users Generated by: Administrator Utility Information Access Server has been disabled. Use the ENABLEAC UDC to start Information Access Server. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4075 ERROR-Maximum table size value must be specified Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4076 ERROR-Max table size must be between 1 and 2,000,000 Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4081 ERROR-Access group name can't be blank Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4082 ERROR-Invalid access group name Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4083 ERROR-Incorrect value entered. Replace the data dictionary with a copy of known good quality. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4086 ERROR-Reserved access group name can't be changed Generated by: Administrator Utility Certain group names are predefined in Access Server during installation and cannot be changed. Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4087 ERROR-Reserved access group name can't be deleted Generated by: Administrator Utility Certain group names are predefined in Access Server during installation and cannot be deleted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4088 ERROR-Access group name is controlled by another DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility While working with an access group definition, you specified an access group that is controlled by another DBA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4089 ERROR-Can't delete, some users are controlled by another DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility You tried to delete an access group definition but some of the users in that group are controlled by another DBA. Call your HP representative. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4090 INTERNAL ERROR-No access groups are defined Generated by: Administrator Utility No access groups were shown when you displayed either the List Access Groups screen or the Add/Delete Table Security by Table screen. Because there are certain access groups that are always present, this indicates that the data dictionary must be corrupt. Call your HP representative. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4091 ERROR-Private table security group for number users Generated by: Administrator Utility The access group you entered at the Delete Access Group screen is already being used to define default table security for one or more DBAs. Either don't delete that access group, or change the DBAs' default table security before performing the delete. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4092 ERROR-name security assigned, but not configured Generated by: Administrator Utility The access group you selected at the Add/Delete Table Security by Table screen has not been configured. Either there is data corruption or the access group was configured by another DBA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4101 ERROR-Database name can't be blank Generated by: Administrator Utility Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4102 ERROR-Invalid database name Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4103 ERROR-Invalid IMAGE password Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4104 ERROR-Incorrect open mode specified. Valid modes are 5,6,7 or 8 Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4105 ERROR-Group name can't be blank Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4106 ERROR-Invalid group name Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4110 ERROR-Reserved database name can't be changed Generated by: Administrator Utility Certain databases are predefined in Access Server during installation and cannot be changed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4111 ERROR-Reserved database name can't be deleted Generated by: Administrator Utility Certain databases are predefined in Access Server during installation and cannot be deleted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4114 ERROR-File name can't be blank Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4115 ERROR-Invalid file name Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4116 ERROR-Database name is controlled by another DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4117 ERROR-Account name must be blank if the group is blank Generated by: Administrator Utility -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4119 ERROR-File name is controlled by another DBA Generated by: Administrator Utility Table 1-0. (cont.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4125 ERROR-Incorrect lockword lockword specified Generated by: Administrator Utility You entered an incorrect lockword for the editor file at the Configure View Table Editor screen. Enter the correct lockword. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4133 ERROR-FOPEN failed opening the global IAFILE, FSERR number Generated by: Administrator Utility During initialization, an attempt was made to process the file IAFILE.PPCSAVE.HPOFFICE. Respond to the FSERR specified. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AC4134 ERROR-FOPEN failed opening the local IAFILE, FSERR number Generated by: Administrator Utility During initialization, an attempt was made to process the file IAFILE in the logon group and account.
