How To Use This Appendix 

   1.  If a general understanding of the HP Predictive Support file
       transfer process is needed, review the next section, "File
       Transmission Review."

   2.  Generate a Trace Report using psconfig to find the most recent
       Retry Monitor banner.  This report is generated in reverse
       chronological order, so read from the top of the report.

   3.  Locate the error message(s) printed at the point the file transfer
       attempt was terminated, and use the error messages in Appendix F
       to resolve the problem.

       OR 

       Examine Figure E-1  and determine the step at which the
       transmission failed.  Then go to the referenced datacomm
       troubleshooting procedure.
