HP Predictive Support User's Guide For HP 3000 Series 900
Operational Procedures
This section describes the operational procedures with details on the
following maintenance and service activities specific to HP Predictive
Support:
* Reconfiguring utilities.
* Manually entering a code word.
* Sending comments to the HP Response Center.
* Resetting event data.
NOTE It is recommended that these activities be performed by the Account
CE, or performed by the system administrator at the customer site
upon the advice of the Account CE or RCE.
Reconfiguring Utilities
Under certain conditions, utility coverage may have to be reconfigured
through psconfig as part of diagnostics and/or problem resolution.
At installation, all utilities are enabled. Because utilities comprise a
significant part of HP Predictive Support functionality, reconfigure
these utilities only when recommended.
To reach the Configure Utilities Menu:
* From the Main Menu: Type 4 7 or configure utilities.
* From the Configuration Options Menu: Type 7 or utilities.

read. Thereafter, HP Predictive Support reads logs generated

are large, you may want to reduce the number of days that logs are
to be read.

logs generated since HP Predictive Support last run.
