Disconnect Serial Command
The Disconnect Serial command is found under the File menu.
Figure 10-25. Disconnect Serial Command
The Disconnect Serial command ends the link between HP LaserRX/MPE and an
HP 3000 containing the logfiles you were accessing. In the process of
terminating this link, you may have HP LaserRX/MPE log you off.
The command is dimmed if you are not connected to an HP 3000 (you cannot
disconnect if you are not connected).
When you select the File Disconnect Serial command, you get the
Disconnect Serial dialog box.
Figure 10-26. Disconnect Serial Dialog Box
The Disconnect Serial dialog box shows whatever default disconnection
specifications you have provided through the Serial Disconnect command
under the Configure menu. You can override the defaults before you
process the File Disconnect Serial command.
* Logoff Host.
The Logoff Host option designates whether a logoff command is
issued.
* Command File.
You can use the Command File option to specify a basic serial
command file containing a set of commands to automatically end a
connection with an HP 3000.
A disconnect command file is only required for a complex disconnection.
NOTE If you connect through more than one machine, be sure to match your
connect and disconnect commands carefully. HP LaserRX/MPE does not
automatically log you off all HP 3000s through which you connected.
