HP DeskManager User Reference Guide
Chapter 10 Communicating with Other Systems
You may be able to send messages to users of other manufacturers
electronic mail systems. See your HP Desk Administrator to find out if
this is possible on your HP Desk system.
If you can send messages to users of other electronic mail systems you
need to give their foreign address. You can use up to 512 characters
when you type a foreign address, and you can also split a long foreign
address over several lines, much like a postal address.
You can send urgent and private messages to foreign addresses, and
sometimes reply to messages you receive from users at a foreign address.
To read a foreign address in a message you receive you have to open the
message and then read the Distribution List.
You can send messages to a Distribution List that includes both HP Desk
addresses and foreign addresses.
You send messages to foreign addresses in much the same way as you send a
fax.
