Creating Folders

To create a new folder:

There are two ways to create a new folder:

   * At the Cabinet > prompt type CREATE Return and then type a name
for the folder and press Return.

   * You can also create new folders when you copy or move an item from
your In Tray, Out Tray, Pending Tray, Work Area, Calendar or even
from a different folder. If you type the name of a non-existent
folder HP Desk asks if you want to create a folder of that name.
       For example:

Intray > MOVE "minutes" TO "project" Return
I cannot find a suitable "project"
Do you wish to create it? (No) >> YES Return

To create a folder within a folder:

There are two ways of creating a folder within a folder:

   * OPEN the folder and then type CREATE Return and the name of the
       new folder and press Return

   * Copy or move a message or item to a non-existent folder in an
       existing folder. For example:

Intray > MOVE "pr" TO "meeting" of "project" Return
I cannot find a suitable "meeting"
Do you wish to create it? (No) >> YES Return

       Further Information

   * If you forget the name of a folder you can ask HP Desk to list
your folders by typing " " without a folder name. For example:

            Intray > COPY 1 TO " " Return

Intray > COPY 1 TO " " OF "project" Return

   * If you do not specify a folder name when you move or copy a
message to your Filing Cabinet, HP Desk asks if you want to put
incoming messages in the Incoming Day File, and outgoing messages
       in the Outgoing Day File.

   * Once you have moved or copied an item to the Filing Cabinet, you
cannot edit it or add to it. If you need to make any changes to a
filed item, move it to the Work Area.

   * If you have HP File/Library available on your system you can also
use HP Desk's community filing area. See the reference book Using
       HP File/Library for details.
