The Public Distribution Lists
The Public Distribution Lists folder stores the most frequently used
lists in your company. Ask your HP Desk System Administrator how the
Public Distribution Lists folder is set up in your company.
You can add any lists which you think will be useful to other HP Desk
users and you can use any of the lists in the folder.
To use a Public Distribution List:
1. Type SEND at the prompt and enter a Subject: as usual.
2. Enter the name of the Public Distribution List at the TO: prompt.
For example:
TO: "accounts dept" Return
3. Continue to prepare your item as usual.
To create a Public Distribution List:
1. CREATE a Distribution List in the List Area.
2. COPY TO the Public Distribution Lists folder. For example:
Listarea > COPY 3 TO "PUBLIC DIST LIST" Return
To delete a Public Distribution List:
1. Type OPEN "PUBLIC DIST LIST" at the Filing Cabinet prompt. For
example:
Cabinet > OPEN "PUBLIC DIST LIST" Return
2. Type DELETE at the prompt. For example:
Public > DELETE "accounts dept" Return
