Sending Forms

You can send forms as messages, which is useful if you want people to see
the results of a survey or answer a questionnaire.

To send forms:

   1. At the area prompt type SENDFORM and press Return

HP Desk lists the available form items you can send.

   2. Type the appropriate number and press Return

   3. Type a Distribution List name, enclosed in double quotes, or type
your own list of names, finishing with // Return on a new line.

   4. Type YES Return if you want to add comments, and then type the
       text, ending with // Return

   5. Type YES Return if you want to include information in the form
when you send it, then type the information and press Enter to
       save the information.

   6. If you are sending the form to a number of people it is worth
setting ACK 6, the forms reply acknowledgment. When this has been
set HP Desk collects all the replies in your Pending Tray and
then, when everyone has replied, sends the forms package in the
Pending Tray to your In Tray. At the FORM MESSAGE > prompt type
ACK 6 and press Return. For example:

FORM MESSAGE > ACK 6 Return

   7. Type MAIL and press Return to mail the form. For example:

            FORM MESSAGE > MAIL Return

Sending Routed Forms

A routed form is sent to a list of people one after the other. It is
different from a normal because it has a Route List, and users who
receive it cannot fill in a form. They simply APPROVE or REJECT it.

To send a routed form:

   1. At the area prompt type ROUTEFORM and press Return

   2. Fill in the form in the same way as a normal form except:

          a. You create a Route List and not a Distribution List.

          b. If you want to keep a copy of the routed form in your
              Pending Tray use ACK KEEP.

For more details about routed messages see "Routing a Message" .
