Sending Multi-Part Messages

There is another way to send several items in one message, other than
sending packages you have assembled in your Work Area. You can add extra
parts to a message you are just about to mail, or to a READY message in
your Out Tray which you have opened.

To add another part to a message:

At the MESSAGE > prompt type CREATE followed by the type of item you want
to create and press Return. For example:

MESSAGE 1 > CREATE TEXT Return

To include a folder in a message:

At the MESSAGE > prompt type COPY FROM followed by the item name,
enclosed in double quotes. Then type OF followed by the folder name,
enclosed in double quotes, OF FC, where FC is the abbreviation for the
Filing Cabinet. For example:

MESSAGE 5 > COPY FROM "agenda" OF "meetings" OF FC Return

Type YES Return to edit the folder.

To include other HP Desk items in a message:

At the MESSAGE > prompt type COPY FROM followed by the name of the item
and the name of the area. Press Return. For example:

MESSAGE 2 > COPY FROM "worddoc" OF WORKAREA Return

To include a Non-HP Desk file in a message:

At the MESSAGE > prompt type COPY FROM followed by the name of a Non-HP
Desk file (enclosed in brackets) and press Return

You can also include a file belonging to another user (if it has been
released) by adding the group and account name after the file name.

To include the text from a Non-HP Desk file:

At the MESSAGE > prompt type COPY TEXT FROM followed by the name of the
file in parentheses and press Return. For example:

MESSAGE > COPY TEXT FROM (tdpfile) Return
