Deferring Messages
You can ask HP Desk to mail your message at a specified time. HP Desk
then holds the deferred message in your Out Tray, where its status is
DEFERRED.
Alternatively, you may have finished typing a message and decide to mail
it later, but you're not sure exactly when. HP Desk holds a postponed
message in your Out Tray, where its status is READY.
To defer mailing a message:
* At the Outtray > prompt type MAIL followed by the message number
or subject, enclosed in double quotes, and the date and time
details. For example:
Outtray > MAIL 1 IN 5 HOURS Return
Outtray > MAIL "HOLIDAY" AT 9AM ON TUESDAY Return
* You can specify the date and time in the same way that you can in
the Calendar. At the MESSAGE > prompt type MAIL ON followed by
the date AT what time, and press Return. For example:
MESSAGE > MAIL ON 4.4.92 AT 11PM Return
MESSAGE > MAIL AT 5PM Return
To postpone mailing a message:
1. Type CLOSE at the MESSAGE > prompt. For example:
MESSAGE > CLOSE Return
2. The message is kept in your Out Tray with READY status. You can
return to mail it when you choose. Type MAIL and the number or
subject at the prompt. For example:
Outtray > MAIL 1 Return
Outtray > MAIL "agenda" Return
