Using Your Clipboard

A quick way to hold an item you want to move, but you're not sure where
to, is to COPY or MOVE it to your clipboard (clip). You can hold any
item, except for a folder, on your clipboard. The item is then held
there, until you copy it from the clipboard.

There is only room on the clipboard for one item at a time. It is
advisable to COPY, rather than move, an item to your clipboard as any
subsequent item you copy or move to your clipboard replaces and deletes
the first item. When you leave HP Desk any item on the clipboard will be
lost.

To hold an item on your clipboard:

When you know you want to move an item but you're not yet sure where to,
type COPY or MOVE followed by the item number, or name in quotes. For
example:

MESSAGE 3 > COPY 2 TO CLIPBOARD Return

Workarea > MOVE "float" TO CLIP Return

To copy from your clipboard:

When you are in your Work Area, or the container item where you want to
include the item from the clipboard type COPY FROM CLIPBOARD. For
example:

MESSAGE > COPY FROM CLIPBOARD Return

Workarea > COPY FROM CLIP Return

       Further Information

   * Type READ CLIPBOARD Return to check what is on your clipboard.
