Looking Up a User Name 

HP Desk lets you search for a name, sublocation, location, or a country
even when you are not sending a message.

To search for a name: 

   1.  Type LOOKUP at any prompt in HP Desk.  For example:

            Intray > LOOKUP Return 
            Type a user's name or ? for a directory list.
            Entry: JONES

   2.  If the entry is not unique, HP Desk will provide a list of
       alternatives.  For example:

            1  John JONES / AB1234
            2  Josie JONES / NORTH12
            3  Marie JONES / PARIS  Corporate Marketing Manager
            Select a number or type // to leave the list >>

To search a directory: 

   1.  To search a directory type LOOKUP ? For example:

            Intray > LOOKUP ? Return 

            Listing of countries
            1  UK
            2  FRANCE
            3  SPAIN
            4  GERMANY
            Select a number or type // to leave the list >>

   2.  Type the number of the country and HP Desk will give you a list of
       locations within that country.  For example:

            Listing of locations in country UK
            1  SCOTLAND
            2  NE5
            3  LONDON  Sales Office
            Select a number or type // to leave the list >> 1 Return 

   3.  Type the number of a location and HP Desk will give you a list of
       sublocations.

   4.  Type the number of a sublocation and HP Desk will give you a list
       of users at that sublocation.

       Further Information 

   *   Some HP Desk users will have Extra User Information next to their
       name like a job title or telephone number.  This information is
       entered by your HP Desk System Administrator to help you identify
       users.  For example:

            Marie JONES / PARIS  Corporate Marketing Manager
