Quit Error Messages
The following error messages are concerned with various failures caused
by MPE internal or file system errors.
0001 MESSAGE Can't build or access MSG file to Tape Process. (QUIT 1)
CAUSE There was an MPE error building or accessing the message
pipe file.
ACTION Investigate ability to create files.

0002 MESSAGE Can't build or access MSG file from Tape Process. (QUIT 2)
CAUSE There was an MPE error building or accessing the message
pipe file.
ACTION Investigate ability to create files.

0003 MESSAGE CP logfile read failure. (QUIT 3)
CAUSE On either system there was an MPE error when the CP tried to
read the logfile.
ACTION Investigate why reading the current logfile is not possible.

0004 MESSAGE FLUSHLOG call failed. (QUIT 4)
CAUSE There was an MPE error in executing the FLUSHLOG intrinsic.
ACTION Internal MPE problem. Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0005 MESSAGE Tape Process tape write failure. (QUIT 5)
CAUSE There was a file system error when the TP tried to write to
tape.
ACTION Possible tape drive or tape media problem. Contact your
Hewlett-Packard SE.

0006 MESSAGE Tape Process couldn't get DL area buffer. (QUIT 6)
CAUSE There was an MPE error when the TP tried to reserve DL
space.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0007 MESSAGE CP couldn't get DL area Send Buffer. (QUIT 7)
CAUSE There was an MPE error when the CP tried to reserve DL
space.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0008 MESSAGE CP couldn't get DL area Log buffer. (QUIT 8)
CAUSE There was an MPE error when the CP tried to reserve DL
space.

0009 MESSAGE CP had unexpected file error reading MP commands. (QUIT 9)
CAUSE There was an MPE file system error when the CP tried to read
the message pipe file from the MP.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0010 MESSAGE RP couldn't update SAVE file. (QUIT 10)
CAUSE File system error writing to SAVE file.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0011 MESSAGE RP can't continue processing due to above error. (QUIT 11)
CAUSE Printed as a result of any fatal error. The cause will
always precede the message.
ACTION Do not purge the SAVE file; it is useful for diagnostics.

CAUSE Internal error.

CAUSE Internal error.

output for HP analysis. (QUIT 15)
CAUSE Internal error.

16)
CAUSE A database intrinsic returned an unexpected error.

17)

CAUSE Internal error.

0019 MESSAGE CP logging status request failed. (QUIT 19)
CAUSE Internal error accessing logging tables.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0020 MESSAGE CP close of logfile failed during CHANGELOG. (QUIT 20)
CAUSE File system error accessing next logfile during CHANGELOG
processing.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

0021 MESSAGE RP couldn't switch to new logfile. (QUIT 21)
CAUSE Either not enough space on secondary for logfile or some
other file system error. The error precedes this message.
ACTION Check the error preceding this message.

0022 MESSAGE RP determined next logfile not DISC logfile. (QUIT 22)
CAUSE CHANGELOG was done specifying that the next logfile is on a
serial device. Not allowed.
ACTION Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.

CAUSE During CHANGELOG, the next file in sequence couldn't be
accessed. Error message precedes.

0024 MESSAGE SILRP unable to change DB's. Run SILDP on SAVE file. (QUIT
24)
CAUSE While there are outstanding transactions, databases cannot
be added or deleted from configuration file in order to
restart Silhouette.
ACTION Run SILDP on SAVE file. Contact your Hewlett-Packard SE.
