VPLUS/Windows A.00.06 by Rachel Schwab Commercial Systems Division The A.00.06 version of VPLUS/Windows, the Microsoft windows-based user interface for VPLUS applications, is available with MPE/iX Release 4.5. This version supports Microsoft Windows 3.0 in standard/enhanced mode as well as in real mode; the previous version, A.00.03, required the installation of the VPWDXW7 patch to support standard/enhanced mode. The A.00.06 version also supports Microsoft Windows 3.1; however, if Microsoft Windows 3.1 is used, then a 386 or 486 PC with a minimum of four MB of memory is required. The A.00.03 version of VPLUS/Windows can run under OfficeShare or Network Services 2.1 (NS 2.1), but the A.00.06 version requires NS 2.1. Users should be encouraged to upgrade their network software to NS 2.1 since OfficeShare is now obsolete.
