Node Management Services automatically format logging records sent to the
console. Logging records sent to a disk file are stored in coded form. These
records are decoded and formatted by the NMS Trace/Log File Analyzer (NMDUMP),
an NMS system utility program. Figure 21-1
"Formatted Log Record" shows a typical log record formatted by NMDUMP.
