You must define the characteristics of the X.25 iX System Access link or links that you will be configuring. You must specify a link name and configuration for each DTC/X.25 Network Access card that will be used for X.25 system-to-system connections.

Several of the parameters that you will configure for X.25 iX System Access through the NS configuration must match the parameters you configured for DTS (chapters 2 and 3). The common parameters are:

  • Link name.

  • DTC node name.

  • Card number of the DTC/X.25 Network Access card in the DTC.

  • If you configure user facility set parameters, these parameters should also match the parameters specified in the DTS configuration.

Once you have defined the characteristics of the X.25 network, transfer this information onto the X.25 Configuration Worksheet and the X.25 Virtual Circuit Configuration Worksheet.
