The X.25 Network Interface Configuration screen (#102) in
Figure 7-3 “X.25 Network Interface Configuration
Screen” is displayed when you
add an X.25 interface to the Network Interface Configuration screen
(Figure 7-2 “Network Interface Configuration Screen”) and press the [Add]
or [Modify] function key. It is also displayed
when you type the path name:
@NETXPORT.NI.NIname
in the Command window of any screen and press the [Enter]
key, where NIname is a configured X.25 NI.

Use the fields and the function keys of the select screen
to perform the desired action. Press the [Save Data]
function key to transfer the data displayed on the screen to the
configuration file you are creating or updating. Verify that the
data record has been created by checking that the Data flag is set
to Y.
Fields
- Number of outbound buffers
(Required.) Enter the number
of buffers that are allocated to the X.25 network interface.
If direct level 3 access is being used, or large (over 5000 bytes)
blocks of data are being sent, or multiple no-wait sends are being
issued, then more buffers may be needed. Logging location code 174,
CLAS0003, tells you that the X.25 subsystem does not have enough
buffers, in which case you can increase the number of outbound buffers.
(If the outbound buffers are exhausted, the transport will continue
to function, but at a significantly reduced efficiency.)
Default value: 160
Range: 32-1060
