Table A-1 “NMMGR Maintenance Mode Commands” lists the NMMGR maintenance mode commands, their syntax, and the actions they perform.

NOTE: Subsystem break ([CTRL]Y) may be used to interrupt the operation of the COPYCONF, DELETENODE, HELP, LISTDIR, MAKESTREAM and MERGEDIR commands. The EXPANDDIR command cannot be interrupted.

The VERSIONCONF command must be used before the PATHCONF command, which must be used before the READCONF, READALLCONF, WRITECONF, and UPDATECONF commands to define the current path.

ADDCONF

ADDCONF pathname [type]

Adds subtree of empty records to the configuration file.

Adds LDEVs to a DTC card.
ADDLU

ADDLU SNAnodename [filename]

Adds LUs to the SNA node transport screen.

Adds a virtual circuit address key to the network directory and to the configuration file.

CARDCONF

CARDCONF cardno

Sets the current DTC card number for the READALLCONF, READCONF, UPDATECONF, and WRITECONF commands.

COMPRESSCONF

CARDCONF cardno

Compresses or expands the current configuration file.

CONTINUE

CONTINUE [ON or OFF]

Prevents NMMGR from terminating in a job because of a maintenance mode error.

COPYCONF

COPYCONF srcpath[:srcfile][,[destpath][:destfle]][;KEEP][;NOVERS]

Copies a configuration subtree

DELETECONF

DELETECONF path

Deletes a subtree from the current configuration file.

DELETENODEDELETENODE [nodename][:LOCAL] [:GLOBAL]Deletes an entry from the network directory.

DTSDYNCONF

DTSDYNCONF [ON or OFF or PERMOFF]

Control the display of the dynamic configuration question and execution of DTCCNTRL when DTS validation is complete.

DTSXVAL

DTSXVAL [ON or OFF]

Enable or suppress automatic cross-validation with SYSGEN.

EXIT

EXIT

Exits from maintenance mode.

EXITVALIDATE

EXITVALIDATE subsystem [ON or OFF]

Validates a subsystem's configuration, if needed, when exiting from NMMGR.

EXITWARN

EXITWARN subsystem [ON or OFF]

Warns the user that a subsystem needs to be validated before exiting NMMGR.

EXPANDDIR

EXPANDDIR numrecs

Increases the capacity of a network directory file.

HELP

HELP [keyword]

Calls up the help function.

LISTDIR

LISTDIR [nodename]

Lists the contents of a network directory.

Lists LDEVS for a DTC card in a format compatible with ADDLDEV.

Lists LUs in a format compatible with ADDLU

MAKESTREAM

MAKESTREAM streamfile, nodefile, commandfile

Creates a job stream used to perform network directory or configuration file updates on remote nodes.

MERGEDIR
MERGEDIR
{otherdir [,nodename[} {configfile}[;LOCAL] [;KEEP] [;NOKEEP] [;TIMESTAMP][;GLOBAL]Merges entries from another network directory or configuration file into the current network directory.

NICONF

NICONF niname [nitype]

Sets up paths to add or update NETXPORT NI configurations.

OPENCONF

OPENCONF fileref

Opens a nodal configuration file and makes it the current configuration file.

OPENDIR

OPENDIR fileref

Opens a network directory file and makes it the current directory.

PAGECONF

PAGECONF pageno

Sets the page number for multipage data screens.

PASSWORD

PASSWORD [password]

Sets the password. Validates the NETXPORT subsystem configuration. Changes the password to allow write access on the OPEN screen.

PATHCONF

PATHCONF[=]path

Sets the current path in the current configuration file.

PURGECONF

PURGECONF [pathname]

Deletes the subtrees of records from the configuration file.

Purges LDEVs from the DTC card.

PURGELU

PURGELU SNAnodename [filename]

Purges LUs from the SNA node transport screen.

PURGENI

PURGENI [niname]

Purges a network interface from the configuration file and performs cleanup.

PURGEVC

PURGEVC [filename]

Deletes a virtual circuit address key from the network directory and the configuration file.

READALLCONF

READALLCONF [;FORMAT]

Reads all data from the current configuration record.

READCONF

READCONF fieldname [;FORMAT]

Reads selected data from the current configuration record.

SUMMARYCONF

SUMMARYCONF subsysem[, subsystem[, ...]]

Prints a report for one or more communications subsystems.

UPDATECONF

UPDATECONF

Updates the current path in the configuration file.

VALIDATECONF

VALIDATECONF subsystem

Validates subsystem configuration.

VERSIONCONF

VERSIONCONF version

Checks whether the specified version number matches NMMGR's current version number.

WRITECONF

WRITECONF fieldname, data

Writes data to individual fields of the current path in the configuration file.
