HP GlancePlus for MPE/iX Enhanced by Mel Eelkema Software Technology Division This version of GlancePlus, the Hewlett-Packard online performance diagnostic tool offers new functionality, added configurability, and greater ease of use. As with each previous version, its usefulness in real business situations has been guaranteed by customer prototyping in production environments. Disc Screen Enhancements The Disc Screen has been enhanced in several ways. For systems with many disk drives, we now only show disks that have some activity. To see all disks, the "A" command can be used just like in any other screen. To help characterize the disk queue length, we have added a column showing the average queue length for each disk since GlancePlus has been running or since the last "Z" command was issued. The disc screen now shows the average disk utilization by displaying an asterisk in the disk utilization line for each disk. Configurability and Ease-of-Use The idea of PROCKEYS=CONTINUOUS has been extended to cover the Queue change and User (list Users of a file) commands. When ProcKeys are set to continuous, GlancePlus continues to prompt for more changes until you press RETURN without a new command. This feature allows you to perform more changes in a shorter amount of time.
