Chapter 10 Resource Manager Advanced Functions Advanced Resource Manager Utility (RESMGR) functions are available to HP 3000 users with System Manager (SM) and Node Manager (NM) capabilities. These advanced functions include three function label areas (Configuration, System, and Diagnostics) on the RESMGR main screen, and an additional function label in the Share area (Share Devices). When you access RESMGR with SM or NM capability, these function labels display: Disc Share Config System Diag Help Exit The Config, System and Diag function labels represent the three areas available only to users with SM or NM capability. If you were to choose Share f2, you would see the function label Share Device. This is another function available only to SM and NM users, and lets you share system printers with users on the network. This chapter explains how to perform these advanced functions when using the function label interface. In addition, command syntax is included in a box at the end of each function description. Complete descriptions of all commands are in Chapter 11, "Resource Manager Commands."
