Auto Connect Selection Option 

The Auto Connect Selection option appears on the Configure Options dialog
box.

This option designates the data communications mode used in conjunction
with the Auto Connect option.  You have two choices:

   *   Serial indicates that you are going to communicate to one HP 3000
       through a basic serial connection.

       HP LaserRX/MPE uses the serial connection configured through the
       Configure Serial Connect command.

   *   LAN indicates that you are going to communicate to one HP 3000
       through an LAN connection.

       HP LaserRX/MPE uses the LAN connection configured through the
       Configure LAN Connect command.


NOTE  You can make up to five connections during any one session of HP
      LaserRX/MPE. You can have five LAN connections or four LAN and one
      serial connection.  It is important to note, however, that only one 
      connection can be automatic.
