HP LaserRX/MPE User's Manual: Analysis Software
Using the Clipboard
If you have other Microsoft Windows applications with which you share HP
LaserRX/MPE graphics, you can use the Copy command to copy graphs to the
Microsoft Windows clipboard. Use the Undo command to delete the graphs
from the clipboard when you no longer need them.
The Copy and Undo commands appear under the Edit menu. Only one of the
commands is available at a time.
To Copy a Graph to the Clipboard
To copy a graph, you must first display it.
1. Open the Edit menu and select Copy.
The following dialog box appears:
Figure 7-5. Copy Dialog Box
2. Click OK. The dialog box disappears and the arrow changes to a
cross pointer.
3. Copy the graph to the clipboard by positioning the cross pointer
anywhere on the graph and clicking. As soon as the graph is
copied, the pointer changes back to an arrow.
The clipboard can contain only one graph at a time. If there is already
an HP LaserRX/MPE graph stored on the clipboard, the Copy command is
dimmed.
To copy another graph, clear the clipboard with the Undo command. When
graphics that are passed through the clipboard are displayed in the
destination application, they do not appear in color.
To Delete a Graph from the Clipboard
1. Open the Edit menu and select Undo.
Once you select Undo, it takes effect immediately. No dialog box
appears to confirm your action.
2. After the Undo command clears the graph from the clipboard, it
dims and you can select Copy again.
The Undo command is dimmed unless an HP LaserRX/MPE graph has been copied
to the clipboard.
