Opening Local Logfiles
Local logfiles must be extracted logfiles. They can reside on the PC's
hard disc, flexible disc, CD-ROM, or shared disc.
To Open Local Logfiles
1. Open the File menu and select Open Local.
The following dialog box appears on the screen:

2. Enter the name of the logfile in the Filename box. To enter a
name, either click the Filename box and type the name or use the
Files and Directories boxes.
The Directories box lists the directories available to you. When
you double-click on a directory designation, it becomes the
current directory.
The Files box lists all files in the current directory with a .PRF
extension. To select a file from the Files box, click on the file
name.

NOTE Reserve the .PRF extension for HP LaserRX/MPE logfiles. We
recommend using it for every HP LaserRX/MPE extracted
logfile. In this way, you can easily detect HP LaserRX/MPE
logfiles.
