Accessing Performance Data
Through a file-serving facility, HP LaserRX/MPE supports transparent
access to host logfiles. Reporting, analysis, and manipulation of
performance data occur on the PC, which uses a Microsoft Windows
interface to provide graphic and tabular data displays.
Figure 2-3.
Your PC can be connected to an HP 3000 using two remote file access
modes: serial and LAN. From within HP LaserRX/MPE software on the PC,
you can be connected to up to five HP 3000s at a time--five LAN
connections or one serial connection and four LAN connections.
Using commands in HP LaserRX/MPE's File menu, you can connect to HP 3000s
and open both remote and local HP LaserRX/MPE logfiles.
