special banners and headers, tailor the function keys, tailor the
Help system or User Profiles).
* Perform sophisticated tailoring of the way HP Desk works (for
example using script files).
* Integrate your own applications into HP Desk.
* Set up a connection between HP Desk and other "foreign" computer
systems.
NOTE The information contained in this guide is applicable for both HP
DeskManager and HP DeskManagerPLUS systems. Definitions between HP
DeskManager and HP DeskManagerPLUS are clearly made where
distinctions are necessary.
Before you read this manual you should be sure you:
* Have a general understanding of the way HP Desk works.
* Are familiar with the files and processes it uses for each task.
HP DeskManager Administration will help you become familiar with the
workings of HP Desk.
The topics in this guide are all self-contained. Each section should
take you through from the fundamentals of the subject, to the more
advanced aspects. Examples are used wherever it is thought that they are
useful for a better understanding of the subject.
