Programming for Administration Apart from the normal reports that are produced during maintenance, HP Desk produces a number of files that you can use to assist you in checking on the use of HP Desk. Programs can be written to access theses files to produce whatever sorts of reports you wish. The files that you can specifically look at are: * HP Desk logging files (AUDITFIL and STATSFIL). * Compressed statistics file. * Maintenance Report File (MSORTOUT). * Newmail notification IPC file. The format and use of these files is described in detail in Chapter 17 .
