Making Messages into Appointments and ToDos
You can move messages to the Calendar. You can also copy the text part
of a message to the Calendar.
If the message is an appointment request and you move or copy it to your
Calendar, then HP Desk automatically creates the appointment requested
and the message text becomes the appointment text.
If the message is not an appointment request, HP Desk asks for
information to create an appointment or ToDo entry in your Calendar.
To place a message in the Calendar:
* Type the MOVE command as normal, and add the words IN CALENDAR or
TO CALENDAR. For example:
Intray > MOVE 4 TO CALENDAR Return
Intray > MOVE "notes" TO CALENDAR Return
HP Desk prompts for the appointment or ToDo details.
* Open a message and type COPY followed by the part name or number.
Then type TO CALENDAR Return.
For example:
MESSAGE 2 > COPY 4 TO CALENDAR Return
HP Desk prompts for the appointment or ToDo details.
Further Information
* You can arrange for HP Desk to automatically make appointments in
your Calendar from messages you receive which carry an appointment
request. See "AutoInserting in Your Calendar" .
