HP DeskManager User Reference Guide

Replying to Routed Messages

If you receive a routed message it will be shown by an asterisk (*) in
the ACT column of your INTRAY meaning that it requires action by you. If
you are not the first name on the Route List the message has been
APPROVEd by all the previous recipients before being sent to you. You
will see a plus sign (+) beside the item number.

For example, you are a Project Manager and someone in your team needs to
make a presentation abroad. They have created a routed message, a travel
request, which you must authorize before it can proceed to the next
person on the Route List.

You need to READ the message and decide whether you intend to authorize
the request or refuse it. If you decide to authorize the request, use
the APPROVE command. Or you may decide to refuse the request, use the
REJECT command.

You are given the option of adding text to the message explaining your
decision.

The message is now ready to be sent to the next person on the Route List.
Use the MAIL command. Your HP Desk password is used to authorize the
message.

To approve a routed message:

                  Europe.

            Intray > REJECT "travel request"

   2. You are given the option to add any comments. Type YES at the
prompt and enter the text. To end the text use // on a new line.

TEXT: I cannot authorize your travel request due to budget
                  restrictions - maybe next month.
