Replying to Forms

You can reply to forms you receive in your In Tray in much the same way
as you reply to normal messages. An F displayed alongside a message
number, such as 1F, means that it is a forms message and you should use
the REPLYFORM command to reply.

To reply to forms:

At the Intray > prompt type REPLYFORM followed by the number or subject,
enclosed in double quotes, of the form message. For example:

     Intray > REPLYFORM 2 Return

HP Desk displays the form for you to fill in. It may be either blank or
filled in with hints or other text.

To fill in blank forms:

If the form is blank when you use the REPLYFORM command:

   1. Press TAB to move around the fields (highlighted areas) and type
       in your responses.

   2. Press Enter to save your responses.

   3. Press Exit to finish.

   4. Type MAIL Return to mail your reply.

To fill in forms that contain text:

If, when you use REPLYFORM, the form contains text:

   1. Read through the text.

   2. Press TAB to move around the fields and edit or add text.

   3. Press Enter to save your responses.

If there are more forms for you to fill in, do so and press Enter
       to save each one.

   4. Press Exit when you have finished.

   5. Type MAIL Return to mail your reply.

To add forms to your reply:

   1. Fill in the form sent to you and press Enter

   2. Press Collect, to add a blank form.

   3. Type in your responses.

   4. Press Enter

Replying to Routed Forms

A routed form is sent to a list of users one after the other. These
users can either APPROVE it and pass it onto the next user on the Route
List or REJECT it. If you REJECT a routed form it is returned to the
person who created it.

You cannot fill in a routed form. You can open it and read it and then
either APPROVE or REJECT it.

To reply to a routed form:

Type APPROVE or REJECT at the In Tray prompt. For example:

     Intray > APPROVE 3 Return

To find out about routed messages see "Routing a Message" .

       Further Information

   * You can READ through your reply before mailing it. If you need to
change your reply, LIST the parts of your reply and EDIT the
       appropriate part. For example:

FORM REPLY > EDIT 2 Return

Press Enter and Exit and then MAIL your reply.
