Chapter 1 Getting Started Welcome to HP Desk - the electronic equivalent of your office desk. With HP Desk you get the benefits of electronic mail, word processing, time management and personal filing - all in one package. HP Desk runs on the HP 3000 computer, but this does not mean you have to be a computer expert to use it. You will quickly learn how to write, mail and move messages, and how to schedule appointments in your Calendar. To help you get started a computer-based training course has been provided, which teaches you how to use the basic facilities of HP Desk. You can also always ask HP Desk for Help information, using the HELP command. More about LearnDesk and Help later in this chapter. If ever you need assistance with using HP Desk, see your HP Desk System Administrator. They are responsible for looking after HP Desk on a day-to-day basis, and for providing any help or training you may require.
