HP DeskManager User Reference Guide

Listing Messages in the In Tray

   * HP Desk delivers new mail to the In Tray. As soon as you go
there, HP Desk displays a list of any NEW messages that you have
       received.

   * To see a list of all the messages in your In Tray use the LIST
       command.

   * A list of messages may be too long to be displayed on one screen.
Either press Return to see the rest of the list, or press any
other key to return to the Intray > prompt.

To list messages:

   * At the Intray > prompt, type LIST Return

   * You can ask HP Desk to list a range of messages. For example:

            Intray > LIST 20/40 Return

   * You can ask HP Desk to list new messages. For example:

            Intray > LIST NEW

   * You can ask HP Desk to list urgent mail. For example:

            Intray > LIST URGENT

   * You can ask HP Desk to check your In Tray for mail from a
       particular person. For example:

Intray > LIST FROM joe griffin

       Further Information

   * HP Desk lists messages by number and subject, in date order,
       starting with the oldest message.

You can change the way lists are sorted, but HP Desk will then
take longer to list areas. See "Sorting the Order of Lists" .

   * As soon as you go to any other HP Desk area, you see a list of the
messages or items in that area. You can choose to turn this
automatic listing off, see "Customizing Areas" .

The message number may be followed by a letter or a symbol:

A The message is an appointment request.
C The message has been AutoCopied to you by a principal.
F The message contains a form for you to read or fill in.
R The message is a reply to a message you have sent.
S The message is a schedule request sent by an HP Schedule user.
+ The message is a routed message which has been sent to you for
      authorization.
- The message is a routed message created by you. It has been
rejected and so sent back to you.

To the right of the screen there are five columns. An asterisk (*) in
any of these columns gives you information about the message:

[]
The In Tray Screen TO You are on the TO part of the Distribution List. NEW You have not read the message yet. ACK A reply is requested by the sender. PRI The message is private. URG The message is urgent. ACT The message is a routed message requiring action.
