Organizing Your Calendar

You can use the electronic Calendar to organize your meetings and manage
your day-to-day work.

You can create appointment and ToDo entries in your Calendar. You can
create appointments in the Calendar, or copy messages to the Calendar as
appointments. Appointment entries contain this information: subject,
date, start time and length. Appointments also contain text if you
created them from messages, or if you edited them and added text.

You can create a list of the things you need to do on a given day in your
Calendar. These entries are called ToDos. You can create ToDos in the
Calendar, or copy messages to the Calendar as ToDos. ToDo entries
contain this information: subject, date and priority. ToDos also
contain text if you created them from messages, or if you edited them and
added text. You can also edit ToDos and mark them STARTED or COMPLETE.
Your list of ToDos is updated daily, unless you change this using the
PROFILE command, see "Customizing Your Calendar" .

When you sign on to HP Desk the main menu displays a message telling you
how many appointment and ToDos you have entered for the current day, as
well as the subject, start time and length of your next appointment.

HP Desk will remind you when you have less than half an hour before an
appointment, and again when you have a few minutes to go. For example:

Jane, your next appointment is at 14.00

See Chapter 8 Using Your Calendar for details.
