VPLUS/Windows Application Model
In the VPLUS/Windows run-time environment, elements for exchanging
service requests exist on both the HP 3000 host and PC. Figure 1-2 shows
the application model, in which VPLUS also functions as a data transport
and transformation system under VPLUS/Windows. The model shows that an
application uses the VPUTBUFFER intrinsic to transform and transport
application data to VPLUS. VPLUS then transfers the data to the
VPLUS/Windows presentation server on the PC. When a user inputs data on
the PC, the presentation server transports the data back to VPLUS. The
application uses VGETBUFFER to retrieve the data.
