Benefits of VPLUS/Windows
VPLUS/Windows provides benefits for both end users and application
programmers. An end user can do the following:
* Run an HP 3000 VPLUS application from an HP Vectra personal computer
(PC) within a Microsoft Windows 3.0 environment.
* Run multiple applications concurrently on one or several HP 3000
computers.
* Access an optional PC-based field-sensitive help facility.
An application programmer can do the following:
* Move standard VPLUS applications into a client/server computing
environment without making code changes.
* Use the same online transaction processing (OLTP) application code
for terminal and PC access.
* Add custom field-sensitive help for VPLUS applications independent of
application code.
