Spool Files and HFS By default, spool files are created and maintained ONLY in the OUT and IN groups of the HPSPOOL account (OUT for output spool files and IN for input spool files). [REV BEG] You may copy spool files into a hierarchical file structure (HFS). Copying a file in this way unlinks the resulting copy from the spooling subsystem but does not affect the original file. You cannot rename a spool file into a hierarchical file structure (HFS).
