Performing System Operation Tasks

Chapter 3  Managing Printers 

As a system operator, you are responsible for the operation of system
printers, including adding paper, fixing paper jams, and maintaining the
printer.

You may be responsible for printers designed for shared or personal use.
The most common printers are shown below:


            

In this chapter, you will find the procedures to perform the following
tasks:

   *   Identifying page printers.

   *   Starting and stopping the printer.

   *   Loading and adjusting the paper.

   *   Removing the reports from the printer.

   *   Sorting and distributing the reports.
