Controlling System Activity

The Account Structure

As the system administrator, you are responsible for creating, modifying,
and removing accounts, groups, and users. Your system's account
structure organizes the users and information in your system. Its
built-in security features help control which users can use what
information. The account structure also defines particular user roles.
Depending upon your user role, you have different system responsibilities
and capabilities.

In order to set up an account structure or configure system security
features, you must understand both topics and how they relate to each
other. You cannot set up accounts without considering basic security
provisions such as user capabilities and file access restrictions.
