BLANK Clause 

SDCDE generates the BLANK clause if the blank attribute is true.

Syntax 

     BLANK  ZERO

Description 

You can use the BLANK clause with numeric or numeric edited items only,
not with alphabetic, alphanumeric, or alphanumeric edited items.  You
cannot use the BLANK clause with a PICTURE clause that has asterisks.
You can use the BLANK clause at the elementary level only.
