Chapter 1  Introduction 

SDCONV Overview 

The Dictionary/V to System Dictionary/XL Conversion Utility is a program
which translates data definitions from a Dictionary/V data base to the
System Dictionary/XL database.  This manual describes the operation of
the conversion utility and gives the necessary information for mapping
Dictionary/V data to System Dictionary/XL data.

Chapter 2, "Running the SDCONV Program," describes the files used by
SDCONV, the run options, error handling, and other information you may
need when executing the utility.

Chapter 3 describes the syntax and parameters of the SDCONV commands,
while Chapter 4, "The Loading Process," is a detailed description of the
data mapping from Dictionary/V to System Dictionary/XL. An appendix of
SDCONV command abbreviations is included at the end of the manual.
