NMMGRVER WARN Messages

NMMGRVERWARN 2 MESSAGE OPEN FILE ERROR: cannot convert file.
                                (NMMGRVERWARN 2)

CAUSE NMMGRVER was unable to open the configuration
file because at least one other user is
                                currently accessing the file.

ACTION NMMGRVER requires exclusive access to the
configuration file. Use LISTF,2 to check
whether other users are accessing this file.
Wait until the file is not being accessed and
                                run NMMGRVER again.

CAUSE The NM file system was unable to lock and open
the file due to access security. Usually, this
occurs when trying to lock and open a file
                                across account boundaries.

ACTION Log on to the account where the configuration
file is located and run NMMGRVER again, or
modify file, group, or account access security,
                                as necessary.

CAUSE The NM file system was unable to open the file
because an incorrect lockword was provided.

ACTION Run NMMGRVER again and provide the correct
                                lockword for the configuration file.

CAUSE An unexpected internal error occurred while
                                attempting to open the file.

ACTION See "Submitting an SR" at the beginning of this
                                appendix.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NMMGRVERWARN 3 MESSAGE INTERNAL ERROR: cannot convert file.
                                (NMMGRVERWARN 3)

CAUSE An internal error was detected while verifying
                                version stamps (midasgetdata).

ACTION Restore a backup copy of the configuration file
if possible and run NMMGRVER again. If the
error still occurs, submit a Service Request.
See "Submitting an SR" at the beginning of this
                                appendix.

CAUSE An internal error was detected while checking
                                update violation (midasaddpath).

ACTION Restore a backup copy of the configuration file
if possible and run NMMGRVER again. If the
error still occurs, submit a Service Request.
See "Submitting an SR" at the beginning of this
                                appendix.

CAUSE The configuration file is corrputed.

ACTION Restore a backup copy of the configuration file
if possible and run NMMGRVER again. If the
error still occurs, submit a Service Request.
See "Submitting an SR" at the beginning of this
                                appendix.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NMMGRVERWARN 7 MESSAGE User Has Insufficient Capability To Run
                                NMMGRVER. (NMMGRVERWARN 7)

CAUSE The user is required to have NM or NA capability
to run NMMGRVER. The current user does not have
                                either of these capabilities.

ACTION Check user capability with the program
                                listdir5.pub.sys, and modify the capability
list. Contact the account manager or system
                                manager, if needed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NMMGRVERWARN 8 MESSAGE ACCESS VIOLATION: Cannot convert file.
                                (NMMGRVERWARN 8)

CAUSE NMMGRVER was unable to write (update or add
data) to the existing configuration file due to
inconsistent access type (FSERR 40). The user
has attempted to update a secured file located
in another account. The write, or save access
types of the group or account for this
configuration file are limited to account only.
Note that the configuration file has not been
                                changed.

ACTION Either release file security or log on to the
GROUP and ACCOUNT where the configuration file
is loaded and run NMMGRVER again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NMMGRVERWARN 9 MESSAGE Config File Version Is Newer than NMMGRVER can
                                support. (NMMGRVERWARN 9)

CAUSE At least one version stamp of the configuration
file is newer than NMMGRVER can support.
NMMGRVER cannot convert this file. Note that
this configuration file is not changed.

ACTION Run NMMAINT and check the module version of
NMMGRVER and overall NMC. Install the newer
version of NMC and run the newer NMMGRVER if
needed, restore a backup copy of the
configuration file if possible and run NMMGRVER
again. If the error still occurs, submit a
Service Request. See "Submitting an SR" at the
                                beginning of this appendix.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NMMGRVERWARN 12 MESSAGE File NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS couldn't be opened.
                                (NMMGRVERWARN 12)

CAUSE NMCONFIG is being accessed exclusively by
                                another user.

ACTION Use LISTF,2 to determine if the file is already
in use. Wait until the file is not being
accessed and run NMMGRVER again. Coordinate
                                access with other users.

CAUSE An NM intrinsic (midasopen) detected an error.

ACTION Check any other error messges which were also

run NMMGRVER again. File an SR if you need
additional help. See "Getting Help" and
"Submitting an SR" at the beginning of this
                                appendix.
