Netware 3.11 for the HP 3000 Installing and Administering Guide

ODI Client Shell

To create a client using the NetWare ODI client shell:

   1. Copy the following files from the DOS/ODI Workstation Services
(DOS_CLIENT) diskette to your boot diskette or to a directory on
your PC workstation (such as C:\NETWARE):

       LANDRV.COM

       LSL.COM

       IPXODI.COM

       NETX.EXE

File LANDRV.COM: Select the correct LAN driver for your PC
workstation's LAN card. Either use one from the DOS_CLIENT
diskette, or the one provided with your LAN card.

   2. Create a DOS batch file (for example, NETWARE.BAT) containing the
       following commands:

       LSL

       LANDRV

       IPXODI

       NETX

       LOGIN servername/username

You can then add the NETWARE.BAT file to the PC workstation's
AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Alternatively, you can add the commands
       directly to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

In addition, if you are using Windows, or are using multiple protocol
stacks, you need to create a NET.CFG file (see information below). For
more information on ODI clients, see the Novell NetWare Workstation for
DOS manual.
