Create the Client Shell Using WSGEN
From a PC, insert the diskette labeled WSGEN in a floppy disk drive.
Change drives to the floppy drive then:
1. Run
:> WSGEN
2. When prompted, select the type of LAN card you have installed. If
unavailable, get the LAN driver from your LAN card supplier and
follow the instructions included with the diskette.
3. Select the correct LAN driver as prompted by WSGEN.
4. If required, select the correct interrupt. WSGEN creates a file:
IPX.COM.
5. Copy these files from the WSGEN diskette to another floppy:
IPX.COM
NETX.EXE
You may also need to change or add configuration parameters for the
client (see SHELL.CFG and NET.CFG later in this chapter).
Run from Client PC
Copy the files: IPX.COM, NETX.EXE and NET.CFG (or SHELL.CFG) to the
target workstation and enter the commands:
IPX
NETX
Change to the network drive (usually F:) and enter the command:
F:> SLIST
The NetWare for the HP 3000 server you configured is listed under the
heading, Known NetWare File Servers.
