Summary 

In this lesson you used the report painter to create the image of a
report.

The report painter lets you position report fields and literals on the
lines of the report.  The painter also lets you specify the following
details of fields on report lines:

   *   The source of data to be printed in the field.

   *   The edit code and justification for the field.

   *   The automatic totalling performed for the field.

To create a literal on a report line, position the cursor at the starting
point of the literal, press Return and enter the text for the literal.
To create output fields on a report line, you can define the field
directly, or use a dictionary field specification to define the field.
