Chapter 10  Internal Structures and Techniques 

In addition to the data elements discussed in chapter 2, TurboIMAGE/XL
uses a number of internal structures and techniques to provide rapid and
efficient access to the database content.  This chapter describes these
structures and techniques to give you an overview of the way
TurboIMAGE/XL works.


NOTE  In this manual a word is a 32-bit storage unit and a halfword is a
      16-bit storage unit.  One byte is 8 bits.
