Purpose This document describes the differences between previous versions of HP EDIT that are limited to ASCII (8-bit) characters and HP EDIT version A.01.00, which supports Asian (16-bit) characters as well as ASCII characters. Except as noted in this addendum, all features of HP EDIT are as described in the HP EDIT Reference Manual (part number 30316-90001). The major features of version A.01.00 of HP EDIT are: * Full feature compatibility with previous versions of HP EDIT. * Support for Asian (16-bit) character manipulation. * Support for intermixed Asian and USASCII text.
