>SWITCH
The >SWITCH command changes the old secondary system to become the new
primary system.
SYNTAX
>SWITCH
DISCUSSION
The >SWITCH command is issued by running the Manager Program (MP) on the
secondary system. Any unprocessed transactions previously sent to the
secondary system are processed. The database is brought into a
consistent state with incomplete transactions removed from the database
as required. A report is printed showing the last complete transaction
for each user of the database and any incomplete transactions which the
database may have contained before their removal by Silhouette.
Once the >SWITCH command is issued, the databases are not in
synchronization and may no longer be used for duplicating until the
database is copied over to the new primary system.
